ASHLAND FARM PLANS
For
Ashland this year has been a time of re-evaluation and transition.
Our dream and our intention has always been to preserve this land as
a wildlife sanctuary
and as a refuge from the stresses of everyday life that time in
nature can so uniquely provide.
This has never changed.
Now, with the steady loss of open land available for riding
and the
scarcity of places to school cross country,
we also want to make Ashland available as a place to ride in the
open, to condition, and to school.
We believe, however, that it is important to do all
this in a way that
preserves Ashland's sense of tranquility
and protects it from the effects of careless use and overuse.
Our solution is to open the farm through a membership program.
Through membership we hope to attract a community of riders
for whom Ashland becomes a kind of home,
a place to be loved and taken care of as well as to be used and
enjoyed.
Initially, membership will be offered to those of you who
already know Ashland,
who have schooled or shown here.
We hope to send out our introductory invitation to Ashland's
Membership Plan before the end of the year.
If you have not been here, but would like information about the
membership
please email us at ashlandfarm@earthlink.net.
We
deeply appreciate all the people who have called to offer their help
when we start doing shows again.
THANK YOU!

WARNING:
DO NOT USE MAPQUEST

FOR DIRECTIONS TO THE FARM
(unless
you confirm that the location is with 1 mile of
the intersection of HWY 138 and HWY 81
-the location of Walnut Grove-)
(Somewhere, deep in the annals of the map IT world, our location
is often, but not always, off by about 15 miles.)
